Why Beck Lake?

Chicagoland Kayak has chosen Beck Lake to be its location to operate as it is the most family friendly recreation option in all the forest preserves.

Due to the lake’s size, it is the perfect place to take young adventures on their first kayak, or have a nice slow paddle around the lake without expending to much energy.

Beck Lake also is part of the Des Plaines River trail system which is full of vibrant wildlife in the summer months, making walks a family treat.

There is also plenty of picnic space to bring out your blanket and some good food.

Overall Beck Lake is one of the few places in all the Forest Preserves where you can kayak, bike, hike, and picnic all in the same day while enjoying a beautifully maintained natural area.
